Intro:
Welcome to

ioan_stillness, a stillness icon challenge community for fans of the wonderfully talented Welsh actor, Ioan Gruffudd - pronounced Yo-wahn Griffith (Hornblower, King Arthur, Fantastic Four).

The Contest:
+ Every Sunday, we will post either pictures or a theme on the community to be used as the week's challenge. If you'd like to donate pictures of bases to be used for future contests, please leave them in a comment here.
+ Each maker can only enter three icons (unless otherwise stated).

The Rules:
+ Being a stillness community means no animation. Ever. Fullstop.
+ The icon must be Livejournal standards: no bigger than 100x100, 40 KB, in either JPG, GIF or PNG format.
+ The contest will be anonymous, so please do not post your icons elsewhere, including your own journal until the contest is over.
+ Only use the pictures provided, no adding other pictures (unless otherwise stated).
+ Please don't take any of the contest icons without the creator's permission. If you'd like to use one, leave a comment in the voting post and we will alert the maker.
+ If all the rules stated above are not followed, the icon will be disqualified.

Entering the Contest:
+ You must be a member of the community to enter.
+ Post the icons in a comment to the challenge post, in both IMG SRC form and URL form. Make sure to host them on a server that allows hotlinking such as Photobucket. If your icon doesn't show up, it won't be featured in the contest.

Timeline:
Everything is posted on Sunday:
+ The results for the previous challenge;
+ The voting for the current challenge;
+ The picture(s) or theme for the next challenge.

The deadline for each challenge will be informed in the challenge post.

Voting and Results:
+ The number of icons you can choose will be informed in the voting post; choose well!
+ Anyone can vote - you don't have to be a member of the community... But please don't ask people to come and vote for you; that spoils the fun.
+ Don't vote for your own icons. You'll be disqualified.
+ We will only name three winners for challenge - if there are two icons tied in first or second place, there won't be a third place for that challenge; if there's a tie in first place with more than three icons, the voting will be extended; if there's a tie in third place, or more than two icons tied in second place, the choice will be made by the moderators.
+ Usually, there won't be a Mod's Choice - but if there's one we feel should receive honorary mention, then Mod's Choice will go to that icon.
+ Winners will receive banners made by our banner-maker, the always talented
